Those are impressive numbers. Strange, tho', how relatively few actively post/participate.
I think many are just curious, admiring from a distance. I do this on some sites myself.

I like the fact that for every topic, there is an average of about 10 posts. That seems like a good ratio to me...

I think for many it's just a resource. they want the info, but really aren't into the "community" aspect of it. Joining was just to be able to access anything that non-members might lack, or there was a specific question to ask, but once that was answered, it went back to being a resource for later. like putting a book back on the shelf. That's fine. I'm glad we can help. I for one enjoy all the folks I've had the oppertunity to meet through this site. It's been a lot of fun.
especially recently, most of my activity has been just gabbing. My LBC project is stalled, so there's not much "tec" going on for me right now. but I still like hanging out in "the Pub"
