2500M chassis tube question

Been looking around for a 2500M. Found a possibility except a section of the drivers side outer chassis tube (the one that runs parallel along the door sill) is almost rusted through toward the front. The rest of the chassis appears solid.

Is it possible to repair this chassis tube without removing the entire body shell?

I'm not looking for that much of a project!

Thanks,
Bob

Bob,
Where in Virginia are you located? I'm in Roanoke.
You may be able to replace the tube without fully removing the body shell, but rather unbolting the bolts holding it to the chassis and raising it a bit. But,I caution that I have not done this so I would defer to those who have for more precise advice.
Good luck in your search for a 2500M, if I can be of any assist, let me know.

Yes, you will be able to replace the tube with out removing the body. I would suspect that there are more than one tube that is faulty. Be sure not to heat the fibre glass too much, as it is highly flamable. Would weld a bit and stand to watch for any smoke/flame, ect.
Cheers, D.
