TR5/TR250 250 wheels [rims]

I have a set of TR3 wheels, and a set of TR6 wheels that came on the 250. I have a set of the 250 hub caps that I want to use. The rosette hub caps do not fit bon the TR6 rims at all and when I snaped them on the TR3 rims there is a gap between the cap and tire. Is there a TR250 rim just for that car? What am I missing?

Yes, there is a special rim to take those "Rostyle" caps. Similar to the TR6 rim, but with 3 studs, similar to the studs on the TR3 rims but longer.

I had one, but I think I gave it away.

PS, looking at the factory drawing on the Revington site https://www.revingtontr.com/CatalogueImages/TR250/u.jpg
maybe the extended studs were only on the early 5.5" TR6 wheels and not on the 4.5" TR250 wheels.

Thanks Randall,
Back on to eBay and do some searching...................

Dan,
I just sold a good set of TR250 wheels. Don't know if I have another set or not. I do have a set of early TR6 wheels that take the Rostyle hubcaps. PM me your email address and I'll send you a picture of one.

Ya I have some too on my 69 TR6 that I want to sell or trade because I'm going to go to wires or probably steel wheels with beauty rings. Got all the fixings for that set up except the wheels. I think there are 2 on the front wheels.

Dan,
Got the PM, if Got ALL Four will sell you his wheels, go for them. I will still sell you mine if you want them but not in any hurry to do so. I'll have you a picture of one later today.

Marv

hey Marv,
This is what my 250 looks like now, so not in a big hurry either. (I do want to be done by May).

You are at the fun part, putting it back together. I am getting too old to do all the prep work to paint. I have a picture coming your way.

Thought I would go ahead and post a picture of the 69 TR6 wheels to show everybody the difference. Somebody may have some they want to trade out or sell. 69 was only year for TR6s to have Rostyle hubcaps. See the three long posts in the wheel .

With what Marv said, does anybody on the west coast have a set?

sorry it took so long to get back but not a problem to sell. I can send pics too if needed. Or if you have good TR6 wheels we can swap. My car needs restored so no hurry. Just PM me.

Got all four . This is what I have. A set of four with rings center caps and the lug nuts. I would swap all for the rims.
P.S. I am in not a hurry either But I would like to trade by the end of Feb.

I had to get into the garage today. 9 degrees today. Took my camera and took this pic of a wheel. Only have 1 of those with the suds. Would have sworn I had 2. No spare and checked both sheds. I do have a friend that may have one I call and see and how much.

I think that you have a TR3 rim. It looks just like my tr3 rims. Is that about a 3/8 inch gap from the beauty ring to the rim?

I'll have to measure it. Probably take me a day or two. I'll remove the trim ring then measure the width of the rim. Does that work?

Finally got pics of the wheel widths. First one with the red line tire is the TR6 wheel. Looks like its a 1/4" wider the the 2nd pic which is my TR3 wheel.

I got a set of "250" rims for $300 . I just have to drive up to Nevada City to get them. (Today) I just received the red line tires. Thanks you Got-all_four.

Sure Jerry, I will stop by ACE hardware. What color?
