220 kph speedo

I purchased a new instrument panel for the V8 tacho to use on my TR7/V8 conversion now I have to decide whether to install the 220 kph speedo or the 140mph speedo that I now use. One good point on the new speedo, if some one asks what it will do I can say it'll do over 180 with out telling a lie.

True, but what are you going to say the officer that stops you for speeding /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Personally I think the metric is cooler but doing the mental math all the time to calculate US speed is annoying.

Its fun going to driving schools in the US when you're from Canada (with km/h speedometers). When the car (not an LBC) was getting a little unsettled turning in at the end of the straight, the instructor asked how fast I was going when turning in. (Can't see the speedo from the passenger seat - good design /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif) I told him 195 and his eyes got very large for a moment, until he realized it was a Canadian car! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/canpatriot.GIF
