Just FYI, I am going to be calling for submissions of member's cars for consideration (no guarantees) for inclusion in a 2027 British Car Forum calendar that will feature member cars! There will be a special "Page" set to allow you to upload submission for your car pictures.

(Just an example):

Basil, this is great and thanx for doing it!
I wonder if you could also make a calendar "Brits in the field", showing projects, broken/abandoned/wrecked, and even crazy-altered old Brit cars around the world -- maybe even some pix of Brit-only scrap yards!
It might be fun.
Thanks.

As of this morning, November 5th, I have received images from 78 members, each with multiple photos, so we have a couple hundred images to choose from so far. The hardest part will be picking which images make the cut - there a many many great shots.

Basil, WOULD you consider putting together a calendar as mentioned above, of Brits In the Field, of abandoned projects, cars sitting out in the fields, and even crazy altered Brit car projects -- cars that most of us might be inspired by (or identify with??)(or cringe at!!).
If you want, I can put out the call and collect these pics for you to do you calendar magic, right?
I think I could probably get plenty of submissions from this and other forums, even before the second week in December, if that would give you enough time for production?
LMK.

Thanks for the suggestion! Actually, I think a calendar featuring abandoned British cars, interesting projects, and some of the more unusual creations out there could be a lot of fun. I can certainly see the appeal!

The problem (for me) is that putting together even one calendar or two calendars is turning out to be a pretty substantial undertaking. Between collecting and sorting through all the submissions (there are several hundred), selecting the best photographs, doing some photo editing where needed, and then actually designing and preparing the calendar for printing, there's a LOT more work involved than most people probably realize.

With several other things going on in my personal life right now, I'm honestly going to have my hands full just getting the current project finished. I really don't want to take on a second project.

I'm also trying to keep this particular project focused on photographs submitted by our own BCF members, rather than soliciting pictures from other forums or outside sources.

But I do appreciate the idea, and especially your willingness to help gather pictures. It's certainly an interesting theme, and who knows, maybe something worth considering for a future calendar.

For now, though, I need to concentrate on making this 2027 BCF calendar the best it can be.

Thanks again for the suggestion!

Basil
