image.jpgimage.jpgFighting a cold, so not doing much on "Sheila"
but after reading a few threads on motor mounts;
I decided to give it a try.
the mounts were in bad shape, possible the original ones, by the look of them.
after releasing the main nut,
i jacked up the engine by placing a 4x4 block On the jack, under the oil pan. I had just enough clearance to work the wrench on the 2 bolts of each baseplate, though it was difficult to get the back bolts, as they do not have a welded nuts.
After removal of the old mountsimage.jpgimage.jpg I cleaned up the frame & repainted.
Btw: Found the frame tag on a cross beam: "Z31".
i need to replace a couple of machine bolts, that took a beating during the extraction.

i am a little concerned about lowering the engine back down on the new mounts, as I haven't done it before & it looks like it is going to be a wrestling match.
