On the way into work this AM, Das Bimmer rolled over 200K. Actually, that's still low mileage for a 91. Here's hoping for 300K.

I got 300K on the last Flathead in the 50 Ford. Got a half milion on the chassis.

I just turned 175,000 miles on my TR8 today. Slogging through lunchtime rush hour traffic with the mercury threatening triple digits. Good day for milestones I guess.

My 2000 Miata turned 100,000 miles this week. I've done almost nothing to it in terms of repairs and it's been to lots of track days and autocrosses.

The older bimmers seemed to hold up okay, once you got past electrical, injection, and overheating issues.
The new ones, not even sure I remember the model, the small coupes with no real boot, just a bustle.......knew a guy locally who loved his, thought it was the best thing going.....and every 30,000 miles, the dealer put in a new engine under warranty.
Asked him what was going to happen once it was out of warranty?
He hadn't thought that far ahead.

We've a '92 Toyota Paseo that's been passed around the family...first my daughter, then my son, now me (for a "beater" car)! Broke our hearts when the original speedometer broke several years ago with the odometer showing about 241,000 miles. We did get a used replacement that only read about 135,000, but it's just not the same. Nonetheless, the little Toyota soldiers on (or will, once I finish installing the new gas tank)!

The Ralliart (traded in the Lancer GTS for something with a bit more power last year) is about to turn 13k ... youngun in the bunch it seems.
