MGA 2008 NAMGAR meet

Great photos!! I especially like that double decker trailer.

gblawson,

One of the members of the San Diego MG Club, Dee, is the Secretary of the registry. She and her husband, Wayne, drove from San Diego to PA for this meet in their Magnette -- a Grey and Red one...

Just wondering if you had a chance to meet them. Very nice couple.. Although they DO claim the the Magnette is the first MGA...

It's funny....I saw a lot of those same cars at the Pittsburgh Vintage at BeaveRun last week. The Double-decker MGA trailer was there (I'm jealous!).

I have a bunch of pictures of some of those cars on track too....gotta post 'em when I get a moment.

The dark green Coupe' was said to be a real BMC Team Car and the light green Twin Cam roadster was amazing.

Nial - you & me both on that trailer...wonder how he built it?

GB, I totally forgot you were up in Niagara. We just returned yesterday from 4 days of visiting Niagara Falls and Fort George. It's a lovely area. Sorry we missed seeing you.

The trailer was 'more' then amazing... unloading was, well, amazing... Winches on the upper level lower the rear end down and a winch lets the car down (not for the feint of heart)!!!!

Doug... sorry you didn't know... I am two blocks from Fort Niagara and you would have seen the Wolseley in the drive (and the TD in the shed)!!!

Did see the 'Newer' Magnette.... there was also an older style (same designer...Gerald Palmer.... as the 6/90)

Tell me what's different about this and what I posted about the British Invasion at CMP, except for the fact that our event is free ???????????????????????

Bad forum policy in my opinion!

Hap -

This was a report on an event that was over. Your post was an announcement, and was moved to the appropriate forum.

Oh please forgive me. It was entirely deleted in most of the forums I posted it here. No one ever goes there (local events), and since this was a free car show and LBC gathering, I saw no harm. But as long as you guys are happy with your decision for the betterment of the British car community, keep up the good work!
