I'm thinking of buying the new revised XJR. This would be my first Jag, If I do get the XJR I'll make sure and get a nice 1st Gen E type roadster to compliment it

WHat have you heard of the new XJRs? Is it a good idea to buy a 1st year Jag or is it better to wait till the new cat is deflea'd ?
Thanks

From what I have read the new XJR is one ausome automobile they are calling it the BMW/Mercedes killer! Go for it so that the rest of us can live through you.

Well..

I have a 2004 XJR on order. It will replace my VDP S/C. I have a lot of seat time in the 2004 XJ8...

Good GOD they did it again!

I'll put it this way.

In 1968 Jaguar introduced the XJ6. It was considered, by far, the best sedan in the world.

In 1986 Jaguar Introduced the XJ40. It was considered, by far, the best sedan in the world.

Well it's just about 18 years later...

Reliability? I wouldnt worry. Jag's got that licked these days.. one of mine has over 145K on it ('95 VDP) and while it may look like junk it has been bulletproof.
