2000 Honda CR-V AT Question

Does anybody have any experience with CR-V automatic transimissions?

My aunt has a 2000 with 63K miles on it in which her service guy is telling her the tranny needs to be replaced. This seems a little early.

From what she told me, the tranny was slipping while in drive, and she said this started about Tuesday. When she first noticed the problen on Tuesday, she took it to get the oil changed and they supposedly checked the transmission fluid as well. They claimed the transmission fluid was fine. She didn't have any other problems until Friday. But on Friday, it got so bad she was barely able to get it the service shop.

Isen't that still covered under the Honda driveline warranty?
I'm not sure what Honda's warranty is.

Banjo,

I told her the same thing, but apparently Honda doesn't offer a drivetrain warranty beyond the 3 yr 36000 standard warranty.

Makes me want to go out and buy a Honda. Sorry I don't have any advice for you.
