Mental illness in our Vets, especially PTSD, is a serious problem and these figures are disturbing. I am currently working with our local VA to conduct the NAMI Family to Family 12-week education course at their facility.

Thank you for reminding us of our duty to care for our military. War and battle injure more than the body of the injured. His/her family, and extended family, are hurt too.

From Lincoln's second inaugural address:

"With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation's wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations.".

He was addressing all of us.
