Congratulations young man. All the best to you. May your quest for a better life turn out to be profitable and enjoyable. My favorite people are young folks who try to better themselves by hard work and determination. Good Luck!

Congrats to you, Banjo! I'm glad to hear your toolbox has wheels on it!

That independent garage is lucky to get a skilled tech like yourself. Take advantage of this opportunity. Make it work for you and your family.

Enjoy the ride, man!

banjo, great news!, three things in this world ya gotta feed, ya stomach, ya wallet, and ya soul, all equally important, any one or combination of these items lacking and life can be miserable, sounds like ya doin very well, give it all ya got and enjoy the indevor. p.s. dont be surprised if ya get a visit by a grey haired guy in a black healey, humm, newfield n.y. sounds like a dangerous but fun shake down run, :savewave:

Hi There Banjo,

"Best Wishes" at the new position.

Will this shop be just mechanical or body work as well?

Regards, Russ

Thanks all. Any of ya stop on in anytime.
Russ, Mechanical only. but I have a guy here in Horseheads that is a fabulous bodyman. I'm always happy to refer work to him.
It is a risk. Being an independant shop is getting harder and harder. The technology in cars is advancing at an alarming rate. Lots of schooling, and keeping up on things is going to be required.
But on the other side, this is an oppertunity to be in a small business where I can be more than a number, and Newfield has a touch of "Mayberry" to it. It's a small town where everybody knows everybody else, but it's also just outside of Ithaca where there is a huge customer base (of very diverse people thanks to Cornell)
I worked at this shop for 2 years, 10 years ago, right out of school. It holds fond memories from then, I hope to make lots more.
