Just curious how many like two tone Healeys and how many prefer one color.

Bruce

Oh, I don't know, they all look so nice, maybe the 2-tone. Depends on the car I guess.

I think the big Healey's lend themselves to the two tone paint, so I chose that, I think it's because it really emphasizes the beautiful lines.

I always though the Big Healey was about the only LBC that looked right in a 2-tone. Others (such as TRs) are tricky, especially if the colors have high contrast (red & white).

Bruce: That is a tough question. Some two tones look better but some don't. I saw an Ivory white with brown accent that was beautiful but I saw an Ivory white over red that I didn't really like. Two tone looks classy but depends on colors. Botttom line is : All big healeys look good.

Hey I love them all Lynnes is all over red with biscuit interior mine will be blue and ivory with black interior. Just my 2 cents but you know what they are all beautiful.

I guess that at the end of the day it comes down to personal taste. I have always wanted blue over white, but when my first Healey came back from the repair shop the devils got the spec wrong and it was all blue. Still drove the same though --- great. The car that I have now is red, deeper than colorado red and that looks good too.

My guess - ask the question in the US, and 2-tone will win. Ask in the UK, single colour will win.
Single colour gets my vote - I think 2-tone looks girly, sorry!

I thik maybe this fellow Rodger has been reading the Sacramento Bee! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif---Keoke

Not a Healey owner, but I have yet to see a 'girly' big Healey.
They look fantastic either way, in my book. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I have to go with 2-tone. And I notice that RG, a fellow British transplant, has voted that way too. I would agree that it does depend on the colour. Plain black, red, or any other primary colour will look wonderful on its own, but either colour works well with others as part of a bi-colour scheme. If you are thinking of having yours painted with an accent colour, then that would be the way to go.....some colours might look a little "too much of a good thing" depending on the beholder, and yours is one of them. An Old English White would be a nice complement to the existing colour. Just my tuppence worth.

Mine is all red but I may change to red over white next time it needs new paint. As others said they are beautiful either way.
