Well at least I did not buy the Triumphs! Next 2 are just going to get parted. They are a 67 and 68. The 68 has a O/D in it. The Triumphs are a early GT6 and a later GT6 plus a later spitter car. No Overdrives in the TRs. I have pics and a phone number if anyone has a interest. He said $300 each for the TRs. They are in Elkin N.C. Bob

Thanks for posting, Bob. Sad, sorta, isn't it?

There's a junk yard about 30 miles south of here, in the middle of nowhere, with probably 20 or so badly rotting MGs and Triumphs. The owner was a Leyland dealer back in the day.

I hope someone rescues them . . .

I like the beetles wandering through the forest in the middle picture

How about this car. I think he said it was a 55 Caddy Eldorado convertable. Bob

That just makes me sad seeing all those nice vehicles go to waste :frown: Thats probably why i bought my B because i felt bad for it with the state it was/is in...

Wow, I had the same reaction. It's like seeing a lost kitten or puppy. When looking at that GT-6, I immediately started thinking about bringing it home and nursing it back to health.

Would that state be Illinois?
There's a guy here who has 3 GT6's -
2 savable,1 just a parts car.He was ask-
ing $600 for them when I went to look at
them.I have pictures I can email,if any-
one's interested.
There's also a '67 Triumph 2000
that the owner would give away, but I can't
seem to find anyone who'll take it.

BTW, years ago I bought a GT6 like this for $50.00 it was sdown to its hubs in the muck.. by the time I got it out, the guy just said take it..

I stripped all the parts, cut it up with a sawsall and took to the dump.. (probably still have a few pieces in the garage rafters..) Now, I probably would have kept it.. there was another with, that was abandoned as well, some kids took it and they drove it all around the local fields, til it died for good.

I think that Caddy Eldo convertible would be worth huge money restored. Of course it would take huge money to get it there.

Yep the rechroming bill alone could pay to restore two MGBs
