I thought I'd post my progress report after 2.5 years of work on my 57 Longbridge. I was able to drive her 5 miles into town for a gas fill up and a vacuum. A few more bits and I get to drive her to her first Healey Encounter! Thanks to everyone on this forum for your help, expertise, advise and encouragement on this first car restoration project. What a great father-son experience!

I always thought the bumpers detracted from the Coker lines. Color combo thanks to Aston Martin...and Chubby Checker who told me to do it. He said that was his favorite car....

They are like when I was a kid and attached playing card with clothes pins to my bicycle spokes so it would make a great sound while riding. What I never realizes until this weekend was that all the time I was trying to make my bicycle sound like a Healey!:glee: The Healey sounded so nice that I removed the tags. (they really were placed by Alan Hendrix to indicate which tire went where..not sure why though..maybe he'll respond here to explain)

Wonderful job Rich! A Healey father-son project is memorable accomplishment indeed. My '57 100-6 MM vintage race car project started out as a father & son endeavor, which turned out to be more "father" then son, but I see him coming back around as he helps crew for me at all the different tracks we compete at. I think he could beat my best times with little effort, it's just the focus that seems to be lacking. Maybe it's just the generation. He kills me at the kart track though, and I cheat any chance I get....
