1989 Xj6 Cupholders?

(silly question) Right, so I got my xj6, and can't help but be disappointed that it doesn't have 20 cup holders. I have seen cup holders on online stores for 1989 xj6s. I don't have any existing cup holders, and was wondering where to put the ones I would buy.
 
The later XJ6's (XJ40's) do have cup holders in the center arm rest.
I believe they started in 1994. You just have to replace the arm rest cover.
You can find them at some scrap yards or on Ebay.
 
Open glove box, there are indents there for cups.
