I was cleaning out a draw in my dresser and found this very old Casio TC-500. It’s the first touchscreen calculator watch that Casio came out with. Back when I bought it it was pretty innovative. Crude by today’s smart phones but I do like the retro look. Slapped a battery in it and it started right up.

Hi Elliot, If you want to see a side channel of watch collecting go to the Jones Horan Auction Team web site to see some early electronic watches in their upcoming live auction. The prices may astound you. All the best to you and yours. Joel

Thanks Joe; I’ll have a look. I did check Ebay and found this model watch listed. Sellers can ask any amount but that doesn’t necessarily mean it sells.

"Sellers can ask any amount but that doesn’t necessarily mean it sells."

No kidding. And when guys say "look at the high prices of those cars!" - that doesn't mean they're selling at those prices. Might explain why so many ebay auctions end with "no longer available" before the auction closes. Seller doesn't want to admit their asking price was way too high.

harumph

It must be said:

Tom, all of the auctions I looked at for this watch end and are “relisted” by the seller. You know what P. T. Barnum said...

Elliot - Barnum was a Connecticut Yankee, and knew how to "work" people. Remember "To the Egress -> " ?

Your description of the relistings applies to a heck of a lot of cars too.

PS - Mickey, that is *exactly* what I was thinking.

Yes I do, now where’s the door?

The door is in front of the Egress.
