MGB 1978, replacing the clutch.

I have the tranny on the floor, and would like to know what these two switches are. I figured I would replace them while the tranny is out. There is one on the right side and one on the left side. I have zoomed in on the switch located on the left side. Both switches are on the overdrive section, and the front is to the left

One of them should be the overdrive lockout which keeps the OD from engaging unless you're in 4th gear (earlier models would enable the OD in 3rd or 4th but I think 1978 is 4th only) and the other engages the reversing lights.

Thank you, any recommendations as to what clutch manufacture I should use? Currently has the Borg clutch, but I've read that it some people have found the engagement too high.

Nothing wrong with Borg & Beck products. If someone has a problem with them then there are other issues involved. JMHO. PJ
