  • replace wheel bearings
  • fit new RR axle
  • replace axle pinion seal
  • set toe and align steering wheel
Exhaust:
  • install new rear quad exhaust section,
  • remove manifold, straighten header, grind flange to ensure leak free fit on head
Electrical:
  • replace battery with premium Deka unit
  • replace ignition switch
  • New starter and solenoid
Brakes:
  • replace RR brake shoes and wheel cylinder
  • replace front brake hoses
Misc:

Pretty car, but the ugly sabrinas cancel it out.

Easily replaced, if wanted.

To BritDriver: Looks like you've done a good deal of work to it!

It's a fun drive.
I got it while my '60 Sprite was undergoing a comprehensive renovation and enhancement. Since that project is now complete, I find don't drive the Spitfire, so should pass it on to someone who keep it exercised.

I agree Mickey, they can be replaced. Same on the MGs that came out with them. I also agree that it is a beautiful car, which compliments go to the restorer for such nice work! (y)

Please look carefully through the photos if you are interested in the car. There are a handful of defects in the finish and a rust spot on the chrome bumper - so, not perfect, but I consider it a good driver-quality condition. Like all my little Brits, I don’t worry about taking them out, but I also don’t let them get rained on.
