Spitfire 1975 Spitfire overdrive question

Where is the overdrive activation switch located on a 75 Spit? Is it on the shifter, dash switch, or column switch?
Might be zeroing in on a new purchase.

Not being a Spit owner my answer is not definitive but on the later Spits with overdrive that I have seen the switch has always been on the shifter.

:iagree: But there's always a chance someone relocated it ...

They did relocate it I guess,to a dash flip switch. Also no "o" in the commission #. Probably added later ya think?

The lack of 'O' indicates the factory didn't install an OD; tho it might have been a dealer installed option. But I'd guess from the dash switch that it was added later than that. Overdrives were a lot less popular in the US when these cars were new.
