TR6 1973 TR6 - broken choke cable

What part is broken knob or split to two ?? When installing choke cable one or two there is an adjustment as not to go past full off and if that happens you have some amount of choke and if just one carb is set correct the other my be running richer. The sleeves can be tricky at the clamp you may also try to lube before install. it can be a fine line.
Mine broke on my 1973 TR6 so I just cut off one cable and choke one carb to start maybe ten years ago

Hopefully you ordered and receive the correct cable for the 73 thru 76 carbs.
Along the lines of what "Madflyer" described...you may not get it right the first time...where both carbs choke is full off when you push the dash knob to OFF...keep at it until completely OFF looks like in the top picture where SRZ is in firm contact with AB. And in the lower picture at FULL choke SRZ in contact with the brass STOP.

It did make the heat shield effective at preventing fuel percolation when it's really hot.
