There is a 72 MGB at the local wreckers, having been there for a year. Tom, I have dealt with him before, said it was started when it came in, and ran great. The rest of the car is a bucket though. Would this engine be the same as the one for my car? They want $550.00 for the motor, but I could get them down for sure. This way, I could have the car on the road, and work on the other engine over time.
Thanks
Paul

Same motor, but the front plate will have to be changed because of the different motor mounts.

So you have a 74.5 GT AND a TR7 coupe. 2 somewhat rare cars. Im a fan of the TR7 coupe style over the convertible, a lonely position to have!
Nice cars

Thanks Cosmo,
It is a '78 TR7 to boot... even more rare thanks to the strike.
And I too prefer the coupe, even though I wouldn't turn down a drop top.
