Look carefully at what the TR3 DPO used for a mounting strip for the gas tank.

hmmmm - to my old eyes it doesn't look 1970s shag. I think I saw the same texture/color in the "odd size remnant bin" at Home Depot last week!

Back in the early 70s, I used to drive a 1965 VW bus. The rear seats were removed and the floor was covered in burnt orange shag. The walls were real wood paneling. It had a massive Motorola 8-track hanging under the dash.

Sorry, that's all I remember.
 
Are there any outlets for the lava lamps? Better not burn the carpet, you might have the DEA knocking at your door.

You must have a nose for trends. Actually, it is back already. The young saleslady at Lowes was showing us the latest in carpeting. Indeed, it was shag. They just didn't call it that, had another name. I prefer shag. It reminds me of Elizabeth Hurley. Wuf!
