TR6 1970 TR6 Timing Question

This is the first time I will be tuning my newly acquired TR6.

I was ready to pull out my timing light when I read (from several posts) that a 1970 TR6 should only be timed statically.

Any input around which method (static or dynamic) should be used is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Pete

I set the timing on my 71 tr6 22 years ago and have never needed to adjust it in the years since. I used a timing light and some chalk on the lower pulley and didn't bother statically timing it. You can also check your advance when you rev the engine.
