Spitfire 1970 Brake question

I am working on assembling my brother's 1970 Mk3. Does anybody know what the brake pipe arrangement on the back of the rear backing plates is supposed to look like?

There should only be a flexible hose (rubber, or SS braid if someone has upgraded) directly to the wheel cylinder. If your flexible line goes to a bracket on the backing plate, and then a hard metal line goes from that bracket to the wheel cylinder, someone has installed the 1" longer axle assembly from a 1973 or later Spitfire!

THANK YOU! I've been working on my 1500 and my buddy's 1500 which led to my confusion on this Mk3.
