1967 MGB GT bonnet issue

Difficult to find a B that hasn’t been kissed in the rear...
Yup. This one has gone through some rough times from the evidence I found. It has a set of holes in the frame at the front, looks as if there was a different engine in it at one time. Plenty of rust, rear "doglegs" replaced. Had to replaced the floorboards too.

mch, what driving/fog lamps are those? I intend to mount a period correct set of Lucas fog/pencil beam ones on ours eventually. Had the Square-8's for the +2 in my toolbox and decided to put those on the B temporarily. I was reluctant to start carving into the lower valence of the plastic car. ;)

The Alum hood is the problem it is soft and when closing hood pushing it down will stretch and bend recurve is tricky as said above. There is a metal shrinking tool but would not work on such a small edge. never got mine to fit.

Thanks PDP.
