1967 Healey 3000 Keeps Stalling

Ed and I worked on my generator, voltage regulator and grounding leads several times. All would be great for a time and then the little red light would start glowing. After a year of fussing with all the above, I bought an alternator kit from Allen Hendrix at Hendrix Wire Wheels. This was one of the best changes I have done to my BJ8. The battery is charged correctly and the peace of mind in knowing you don't have to worry on long trips is priceless.
Charlie

Well Charlie you had a dynamo that was performing marginally which allowed the red lam to glow at Idle.
However, I can not find any fault with you solution to this problem---Keoke--

Keoke, please tell us/me how/where to measure the voltage of the generator and how the regulator works (is it off or on, or does it vary the voltage?)

Okay thanks all.

I will have to fetch those instruments from my friend again. Little by little.

Thanks!

Paul
