I bought this set of seat belt brackets from Clarke Spares last week.

These are the brackets that mount on the two bolts on the top of the rear wheel well. Now I'm trying to figure out how the original three point belts worked since there is no adjustment at this mounting point. Do I presume correctly that the only adjustment is from the buckled belt? If so, can anyone give me a length of the "fixed" belt from the wheel well mounting point to the sill mounting point? The fully extended length of the buckled belt would be useful as well.

Ray, If I were you I'd go to the Retractable Belts. Yeah it's a PITA to get them leveled properly so they don't lock up and retract properly but I do prefer them over the fixed belts I had in Bugsy my '68 originally. Pretty sure I disposed of the old belts when I removed 5-7 years ago.

That makes perfect sense if I weren't so fixed on authenticity on this issue. Come to think of it, I seem to be that way on a lot of issues. A call it attention to detail...my wife calls it being anal.

We all have our issues. Sometimes balanced by Time and Money. I didn't think 3 point blets were available for a BE anyway.
