I just bought a 66 MGB in rough shape that I plan to restore. The owner also has a hard top that he is selling seperatly. It is in decent condition outside but neeeds a new liner. He wants me to make him an offer. I have no idea what it is worth. Any advice?? Thanks, JL
If a factory one they used to be relatively cheap. At the end of MGB production they were on a lot of cars just to "push" 'em. Mostly "up north" and in Canada. Now they seem to be like hen's teeth and can go for as much as $1K in top nick. Condition is everything. Finding the inside liner would be a challenge tho. The factory tops were two pieces of fiberglass, "clamshell'd" together, spoon-like.
