There doesnt seem to be much traffic over on the classified section for Triumphs and wondered if it would be better to put our TR4 up for sale on this forum or is that allowed? Thanks

Not yet. Getting our pictures and description ready. Would like for a BCF member to get a shot at it but there doesnt seem to be a lot of traffic on the BCF classifieds for the cost of an ad. Its only a project car missing the drive train but has a pretty straight body. Just didnt want to break any rules if we posted it on this forum. Would be glad to donate the fee if it sold.

Stinger -

According to Basil's tutorial, ads are free, with the option to make a donation, to help offset some of the costs of running the forum, most of which come directly out of Basil's pocket!

You can always, as you already have, alert TR folks here that you have a classified ad posted, in order to maximize your exposure.

Thanks for the help guys. I must be doing something wrong or the rules have changed because when I load up the ad it keeps asking me for my credit card information. I really dont mind the fee but would like to at least preview the ad and know that I can edit it before sending any money just to make sure the info and pics are correct. It seems like there should be a lot more activity around the classifieds and I can only find three listings in the Triumph section for cars. Two from early 2008 and one from 2007. This looks like an area that could use some tweaking. Just my observation. Thanks JD

One correction....ads for "Parts" or "Wanted" ads are free, but if you are selling a car, there is a small fee ($15) which will provide an ad with up to 6 pictures that will run for a minimum of 90 days. I do ask that if you are going to sell your car that you place the ad in the classifieds (and if you click on "all ads" while viewing a category, you will see many more ads in there).

If you do place an ad in the classifieds, it is then ok to place a notice here in the forums with a link to your ad. But the classifieds (for cars for sale) is one small way I help offset the cost of running the forum.
