MGB 1965 mgb fuel pump removal

A good idea to plug off the tank supply line for sure, unless you want a bath in gasoline. It burns the skin like Hades. Don't ask me how I know this...

Yes cap off fuel line electric fuel need gravity to them as they pump not suck like blocked run fuel pumps. You have a drain for your tank is a better way to go. And a FIRE Ex. close at hand any time you handle fuel. As stated above gloves can not hurt either. As you are changing your pump it is a good time to flush & replace any and all rubber hoses and add a filter if you have not done that already. Madflyer
