1963 bj7 rear interior trim

i visited with tproject this morning and took several pictures and measurements. bob hughes are you saying that the holding brackets for the squab are on top of the vinyl quarter panel trim. the car i looked at this morning had the brackets behind the vinyl trim. could you please confirm again? if tproject does not care i can post a couple of pics of the squab mounting and hinges for future reference. below is a picture of how i think the squab holding bracket is mounted. if i use the holes that you see in the vinyl trim the squab sits too far forwaed. and, unless i mount the brackets on top of the vinyl trim the trim will not clear the ninety degree frange that the rubber holding piece is attached to! the previous owner had mounted a carpet covered board in place of the squab and brackets...so i think that those vinyl trim holes are wrong if used as a guide for the squab mounts????

i want to thank those who helped me solve the installation of the squab, hinges, etc. finished the install this morning and am pleased with the result. especially a thanks to tproject and allowing me to view and picture his extremely nice 63 bj7.
 
I am also finishing the rear interior trim on my BJ7. The rear interior panels don't seem to fit very well so maybe you can confirm your fittment. When I dry fit them there is a significant bend in the wood from the door sill to the rear attach bracket. The metal is a replacement from Killmartin and new wood from the Moss kit. I have already had to work the bend in the metal a bit to lessen the angle. Any insight would be great. Thanks in advance.
 
my quarter panels fit with no apparent problem. of course, they are the original pieces to the car.the pics just above your post are from my car. i can take additional if it will help. im not sure that i understand the problem your are having. thanks, maxwedge
