Hi all! I am a new member, restoring a [or trying to] 62 BT7.
As I peel back the layers that have been left for me, I discover many issues of improper reassembly from previous mechanics. And I use that term loosely. This car was just rescued from it's 27 year storage unit home.
I will cut to the chase; Question. Transmission shift rail rubber bumper belonging inside bell housing. Does anyone know how thick roughly this should be. Since there are none apparently available, and mine is missing. And shift rails have left marks as they have tried to drill through! Obviously been left out of reassembly last time. I can cut one from something, just need thickness approximation. Thanks in advance to any and all who answer.
