1961 3000 Recommendations for Clutch Slave Cylinder

What is a good replacement for the slave cylinder in a 1961 3000 Healey? Any local auto parts stores carry them? It looks pretty basic to me.

Thanks

I got mine from BCS and they have two different brands and I went "cheap" and got that one. They said they've sold plenty and had no negative feedback so far.

Not sure what happened to this one. One week it was fine, the next the clutch wouldnt engage far enough to put the car into gear. I looked under the car and the lever moves, but when the clutch pedal isnt depressed i can easily push the rod all the way in and all tension on the clutch pedal is gone. I bled the cylinder to make sure all air was out and it is, but the fluid looks milky. However, it does not appear that way in the reservoir. The car hasnt been anywhere that water or anything else would contaminate the fluid. I suppose a gasket failed internally in the slave, but there aren't any leaks. Time to take it off and check it out i suppose.

Why not just rebuild the one you have? You can't find a simpler device on the car!

Honestly though, I'd rebuild the master cylinder as part & parcel of the job; do it once and do it right!

Wasnt sure if it was typical for the bore in the slave to became rusty and need attention. If its a simple c clip removal, replace seal and piston, reinstall c clip type of job, then no biggie.
