I note behind the rear seats where the top and irons are stored ther is no covering (rug). The car has a nearly new rug set; however, in the stowage boot there is nothing. I hesitate to stow the top in this rough environment given the rear window scuffs so easily. is the a precut piece for the area?

The BT7 did not have carpet installed behind the rear seat back. Just painted metal. If I recall, you should fold the top in such a manner that the window in protected by the vinyl top. Look at the Drivers handbook for folding instructions.

Rob:

Thanks. I do have the handbook, and will comply; however, it seems a rough area even for the top. I think I will go to my local rug merchent and find a remnant that will fit.
