I've heard of a 140 that sold for $150,000+.
I figured it was a one-off.
Anyone know if that was the one?

Yes... a very nice car

I believe I have seen an article about this car recently in one of the British magazines, and as I recall the car resides in the States somewhere.

One of the nicest looking cars with a roof that I have ever seen.

Beautiful indeed......the Italians know how to do coupes! The Pitcrew Miata looks like the front end of an old original-design Elite! A car that was designed to look like an Elan ends up with an Elite front end!

Looks a LOT like a Karmann Ghia!

(One of my all-time favorite designs, by the way)

Not many (if any) Zagato designs I don't like.

I agree that the Zagato is a unique custom design, however I prefer the pure lines of an original XK 140 or XK 120. By comparison, the Zagato front end detail seems crowded and also generic to the Karman Ghia (the Ghia with an add on false grille) or other designs of that era. Forgive me for being a Sir Lyons purist.

I was begining to think I was the only one who thought someone took an excellent car and "Gussied it up" a little too much. Sir Lyon's 140 looks soooooo much better to my eye.
