1956 BN2s

I have one, black on black, completely off body restoration and rebuilt engine in 1975, spent all but 3000 miles of the last thirty years covered in a garage and currently having a makeover.

This is a very hard question to answer, actually impossible. The AH UK registry shows about 650 BN2's registered. Obviously, this does not include all cars. Other estimates run from 700 to 1,000. Of the original approximately 4600 BN2's that were built, this represents about 25 percent. Considerably more BN1's were built & likely survive. The same registry shows about 1170 BN1's registered. The BN1 production was about 10,000cars.

I've got a '56 100, that I aim to get on the road sometime this summer. If it would just cool off here in the Sacramento area I'd finish up my body work and get on to painting. Doing leadwork in 100 degree plus temperatures is brutal. I finished all the welding (new sills and some repair panels for the skins) this spring and then the heat hit. At least I can drive the chassis around the block. I'm in a rural area and got quite a look from a neighbor farmer screaming down the county road with no windshield, seat belts, doors, or body panels. Felt great, can't wait for more. Mine will be healey blue with a dark blue inerior.

Yep - if you're not going concours the dark blue interior is the way to go. Nobody makes the Teal Blue interior and it kind of clashes with dark blue carpets and tonneau, which it came with.

colors can be matched, went to connelly hide ppls (rolls can hardly! etc) and got the color match

I absolutely know where one 1956 is or is not as the case may be. I sold it for parts and the frame is under many many feet of dirt.

Wish now I had never done that.
