Hi,
I was wondering/hoping that someone might have a bit of information on what front suspension or brake components might be used on an early (1955) Hillman Husky to better the situation.
Can the brakes (discs or drum) from another make or model be adapted to fit the Husky. Maybe different drums fitted that have four (rather than the stock three) lugs? Softer springs from another/smaller car to help with the ride quality?
That kind of info.
A friend has already re-worked the frame rails and floors for strength and a better configuration. He also installed a nice Dana (Mail Jeep) rear end for better brakes and gearing, which turned out to be a simple, straight bolt-in task. Now it's time to do something nice up front to improve both the ride quality and safety for use in modern traffic on modern roads.
Any help or tips or even rumors would be a very big help.
Thanks !
TC
