1954 Triumph TR2 racer

I just bought this and I know someone here has to know a little bit about it. Supposedly it's #1807 and it's a 1954 TR2.

I'm excited to get her home so I can get her on the road again. I'm not going to try and hide her blemishes, I like the "racer" feel it has. I come from an American hot rod background so I'm sure there is a lot to learn with this car.

nice car, I really like it...wonder what the tank on the bulkhead is...extra water? I notice the heater has been deleted as well as the license lamp...and some other niceties...
 
To find info I would start looking for SCCA race results for the car and the former owner(s) . https://www.tamsoldracecarsite.net/index.html Tam's site is great history site for Sports Car racing here in California. Nice car dual webers, Offenhauser valve cover and a long door to boot. With some racing history this car could end up being a great trip back in time.
