Can someone with an Anglia or Prefect tell me where the speedometer is routed, I know it goes from the gear to the right side of the car and passes through the tranny cross member but I can find no way to get it thru the fire wall is it possible that it passes thru the center floor pan?

I'll try to check tomorrow. You are talking about the firewall on the way to the speedo head, right?

Oh, I found a photo. That's the speedo cable about 6 inches below the coil and just at its right edge in this photo. Hope this helps.

Hi
The cable you are talking about is the brake, I heard from a fellow in SC and he showed me where the speedo cable goes, From the attachment on the tube it goes to the passenger side door and goes thru the trans bracket (big Hole) from there it goes to the upper right of the toe board where you will see a notch in the body (very top right) it then goes towards the right vent and up under the dash to the speedo.
Did I confuse you?

Oops, my bad. I bet you are right. I will be at the shop this morning and will get the answer for you.

I managed to get 3 photos. 1) is from the floor, looking up. You can see the cable come in from the top-right and go up between the frame rail and the diagonal brace and pass through a slot actually on the slanted part of the floor against the outer edge. 2) is where it comes through the floor and goes up and through the package shelf. 3) is coming through the shelf and headed to the speedometer.

Keeping any file on a rare car is very smart.

I have hit a snag, small spares has no listing for a weather gasket on the spare tire cover does anyone have one and a photo would be nice
Thank you
