I have a friend that just brought this car home,how rare are these things? This is the first one I have ever seen-really a cool car with the pewter headlamps and all

Not pewter...pewter is an exceptionally soft metal. Back before the chrome process was perfected, they would stop at the nickel plating stage. This became known as "German Silver". It requires much more frequent polishing and has a different "hue" from chrome. When you see the nickel/german silver on the older cars, it is decidely different than what we know as chrome. (I may have gotten some of the exact details off, but you get the idea :smile: )
 
thats the one! All I have is a non-digital photo of it,if I could figure how to transfer the picture I would post it.

He asked if he could have me bring my enclosed car trailer to his home to haul the car home,which I did.
