We just got back from England visiting my wife's family. One of her first cousins still own this 1937 BSA Scout... though the only photo I got was from WAY back (maybe early or mid-60s).

Wow - that is a very cool car. Knew nothing about those until you posted this.

Just wondering out loud, but wasn't there a four-seat Scout?

It was the Forest Grove Concourse show (near us) a couple of yearsago, and a nicely restored one at that.
The car was really a rather advanced concept, a bit ahead ofits time. No CV joints, so Iā€™m told that with any noticeable steering angle thevariations in the geometry of the hook-joint FWD shafts gave an ā€œamusingā€low-frequency vibration through the steering.
Pretty desirable classic now, and a quite a pretty car.
