MGC 15x6 Healey wire wheels will they fit my MGC

Hello,does anyone know if the Dayton 457c wire wheels for my Austin Healey 3000 fit my MGC without rubbing the wheel wells?The MGC calls for 480d,both are 15x6 wheels.I am told they have a different offset.If so is there a tire I could use to use these wheels on my MGC,Thanks ,Jeff
 
Thanks good idea ,I did contact Dayton and they said there was a 3/8 in offset more on the Healey wheels toward the fender lip.Wonder if anyone has actually tried,if not I will .Thanks,Jeff
 
A 6" rim with ad additional 3/8" offset sounds like a recipe for rubbing the rear fender lips. I have 15x5.5" rims with the proper offset and if I try hard enough (and have some luggage in the back) I can get them to barely rub on 195/60R15 tires. Plus this is with poly bushings and pads, and new springs.

I agree. I have 195/65SR15's on each of my MGCs. Rubbing can be an issue onthe right hand side if I have a full tank of fuel...and/or a passenger.

I will be upgrading the bushings and pads...and also have a Panhard rod ready to install. I am tempted to roll the inner fender lips...but I'm going to wait until I fix the obvious first.
