TR6 158.31 mph

Even a purist can appreciate 158.31mph in the 1/4. What do you have in it? How about a picture? Tom

Haven't riled up the purists in a while, but my TR6 went a new best of 158.31 mph in the 1/4 mile:tennis:
I wanna see!

Click on the link in his signature. Impressive!

Ed - should have been here for the British V8 gathering this weekend. Going to W. Virginia next June?

I think I will wait for a British V8 closer to home, plus since my car runs on E85/E98 I am afraid you guys will drink all my fuel, LOL
On E98 in the hi 30's yesterday morning, with a little shot of gas to get the car started, it smelled like a broken booze bottle.

Ed, when you get on it, doesn't the car want to pull to the side with all that horse power?

Well since it's not really a TR6 anymore,....

Sure it is. I think I see an unmodified TR6 body panel or two.

Seriously, a nice car. If I went 158 MPH in anything short of an airliner taking off, I'd need fresh underwear.

Thanks, and if you look under the front end the stock A arms with the drilled and slotted Moss brakes are on there, car has a parachute but have only used it once.

What's your best time in the 1/4. I saw your 1/8 mile time posted on the Brit V8 website but I think that was with your old 455 power plant.

Cheers
Tush

My best et was a 8.74, lately I have been running 8.80's 8.90's best 60ft to date has been a 1.26
Looks a little like a TR6 in this picture.

I owned a TR4a that smoked like that, but it wasn't from the tires!

Ed,
Always love seeing pics of your car. Glad to see it's still running strong.
We'll have to save a spot in the next issue of Minnesota Triumphs for your new top speed!
