Pretty much stock except for:

Single HS4
Pertronix ignition
$9 Rustoleum Hunter Green (applied with a roller!) Hey - looks better than it did!

Currently undergoing a Kellysguy carpet restoration - already spent $8 plus tax. Temporarily on hold while I save up another $8 - also we are in the middle of a 3 day monsoon here in NC.

Cheers!
PS. Kellysguy - I like that subdued shade of red.
JP - looks like my poor rusty 1275:

$8???? Don't put the cheap stuff in, you'll hate it and it doesn't last. It was in mine from the P.O. Get good auto carpet from a carpet store.

1979
Roll Bar
Bullet mirrors
Miata Seats (With headrest speakers)
Tube shocks on all 4 corners
Rebuilt (kinda) engine and transmission.
Computer controlled fuel injection and ignition
Delco alternator
Electric fan (computer controlled)
And roll up windows.

In dire need of a new paint job and head light trim rings.

Which green?
The only one I can find is the emerald green metallic.

1976.
Stock engine except for Weber DGV, Pertronix, and 1275 dizzy.
Originally zesty exciting citron, now various tired faded shades of red, waiting patiently for a Rustolum repaint and new top install.
De-bumpered.
Complete SEM vinyl repaint in camel tan.
(Removed radio console due to psychological scarring.)
Lowe's cheapo carpet job. (not $8, but close)

...1275 dizzy...

That's interesting - how did you manage that, Bill?

All Lucas/BMC 4 cylinder dists are interchangeble. MGB will go on a MGA...will go on an A series or 1500 and vice versa. Very VW like as far as interchangibility. ( also looks allot like a bug Bosch dist.)

Um, OK, but what about the advance curve and what not? Wouldn't it be different if the engine size was bigger?

Cheers!

I mean physicallly of course. I'm sure they each have different advance curves.

Yup. It's what was on it when I bought it. (The Lucas electronic probably gave way years ago and the PO went for a cheap fix.) The vacuum advance is kaput, and when I took it apart to check that the weights were free, they weren't standard for a 1275. I forget the specifics, but if the weights and springs were messed with, it was prob because the PO was playing with the curve for a 1500.

It runs, and doesn't ping with the advance set to 32 degrees at 3000 rpm. It's a little sluggish below 2K, which I'm sure is an advance issue. For now, it's good enough for me. One day I'll get around to it.

Fix the advance and it'll help out allot. ( dual Su's will as well)

I might have an advance that will fit, post me a pic.
