1500 gt pre cross flow will not start when hot has electric pump pressure regulator new coil and electronic ignition spark is yellow ?????.
fuel or electrics.

Where is the electric pump mounted? If pump is not close to tank and/or fuel lines to close to block or heat source could be vapor lock. Also, is there a insulating gasket under carb?

Hi larry.
the pump is situated about 8" from petrol tank.
its made by facett and has no relays or anything just pos neg wire.
pumps to a filter king thats mounted on passenger inner wing.
fuel line then runs around drivers side of engine and up to carb.
i have fitted a accu spark electronic ignition and is the only part i have not replaced.
so not sure if this may be the problem when engine hot.
will try to refit points see if this makes a difference.
car starts ok from cold and gets up to temp then drops to normal when thermostat opens.

once car is hot if i switch it off i can restart straight away but if left for about 15 mins
it then just turns over but will not sart until it has cooled down.
i have noticed that as i am turning it over it seems to want to start when i release the key ????.

forgot to say it has a insulated gasket under carb about 10mm thick

Any fuel lines near block or exhaust pipe, manifold? If close insulate from hot part.
