My suggestion is think it through very carefully as to whether or not you really want a louder open air vehicle. Louder gets old and annoying fast in a car like this. On my current rebiuld I'm looking into ways to make it as quiet as possible. Just my 2 pence, as you were.

Mine's loud by accident (wanted better flow), but I have noticed one benefit to counter the anoyance - I'm a little more 'visible'. It's sort of like being on a motorcycle, being loud helps people remember you're there, so I don't seem to get cut off or nearly hit as often....

As for your exhaust, what about eliminating the first muffler since it's a two stage deal?
 
Yeah, loud gets REALLY annoying after awhile (mine's REALLY loud, so I can vouch for that). The purpose isn't to increase the noise, it was to improve performance. However, the downside is the annoyingly loud car ...
 
Thanks for the information. Is it worth the extra money to put a stainless steel exhaust on? I can get a Falcon exhaust, has anyone used this brand?
 
IMO, not worth the money for stainless, and if I were changing anything around I'd just have a local exhaust shop fab it up for you. shouldn't cost more than $150 (hopefully less!) for a full exhaust on that little car....
 
I have a stainless exhaust on my car, but I do not like the way to sounds. I think mild steel sounds better.
