i am in the process of rebuilding a 1500 for a 79 midget and have realized that i threw away the oil filter. does anybody know a fram(any mfg.) filter number? the engine has the spin on filter type?

According to the fram website, https://www.fram.com , they only make one filter that fits the 1500 motor. It's the extraguard, PH922A.

Depends on which adapter you have, unscrew it and take it with you to the auto parts store.I have been using an MGB filter its bigger, also get a WIX filter they are very good, ask the big rig guys.

Thanks! Its a start, I'll give them a try! I guess next time I should write the number down before throwing it away!
