1500 Doors.

At the bottom of the doors there are two screws attached to brackets on the inside. These screws are rusted and broken off.On the brackets are speed nuts.What I want to know is this.Do these brackets sit lengthwise or crosswise in the door? The winder mechanism seems to touch these,but I'm not sure.

These are window stops. They fit Lengthwise in the doors. They should be felt covered, which led to rusting problems in the brackets due to the felt holding moisture. Moss shows the part on page 55 of their catalog, but they are not available. Vic Brit doesn't even show them.

Honestly, I'm not sure how necessary they really are, but I remade mine using 1/16" x 1" steel. Worked great.
