1275 timing chain question

Country flag
Offline
good Morning all,
Elvis and i have removed the timing cover on his 1275, in order to r+r a very noisy timing chain. we ordered all the parts and pieces shown in the catologue. Including the shown timing chain tensioner rings. However it appears that they are either missing , or not needed. my book doesnt even mention them at all.
they are part 48 moss
were these fitted to the single row chain> and not used on a double row chain? if so what tensions the double row chain? the rings are rubber and about 3+ inches in diameter.

Thanx in advance as always
